A Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden Event
Plant Conservation Day

The Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden will celebrate Plant Conservation Day with a presentation on the successful cultivation of Blodgett s Wild Mercury and Cape Sable Thoroughwort, two South Florida endemic plant species that are candidates for the Federal Endangered Species Act. These plants were propagated with the help of Horace O Bryant Middle School students, who will introduce them to you at this presentation. The students are completing an after school program on land management and will celebrate their efforts by planting them on the grounds of the Botanical Garden.
